02 About Stephanie
Stephanie is passionate about property, design and functionality. Her design philosophy draws upon the phrase coined by Mies Van Des Rohe:
"Form follows function"
As a lover of beauty, be it nature, art, good workmanship and well designed spaces, Stephanie seeks to ensure that every project she is presented with is tackled in its own merit. Her role is merely to bring to life that beauty within, and to fully realise the potential of a space, regardless of whether it is a new or old property, residential or commercial. This she does whilst putting the client's vision at the forefront.
Sustainability is at the heart of every project Stephanie works on. Throughout the design process, Stephanie maintains a focus on the longevity of her designs. The second pillar of sustainability in the architect's work is the use of technologies and materials that maximise the utilisation of space, materials and energy resources.
Of high importance in all her work is the use of light, be it natural or artificial, in the best of ways to bring out the best in a design.
An Architect by profession, Stephanie completed her undergrad studies at the University of Malta in 2008, after which she went on to earn her master's degree in Real Estate Appraisal from the acclaimed University of Reading in 2011. Throughout her ongoing career as a freelance architect over the past twelve years, she has also held the position of vice-president of the Malta Chamber of Architects and worked closely within the field of property valuations, namely the compilation of guidelines for the chamber and more recently, the publication of extensive research for the Lands Authority.
Stephanie's professional life is kept in check by her role as a mother, the most rewarding yet, and unfaltering dedication to her family. She thoroughly enjoys travelling, jazz music, art, gastronomy and wine.
